The European Football Championship will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. This is the second time after 1988 that Germany will host the European football championship.
For the first time, this European Cup will adopt the top 24 elimination system, that is, the 24 teams that have advanced from the preliminary competition will be divided into six groups, four teams in each group, for a single round robin group match. After the group match, the first two teams of each group and the third team of the four best teams, a total of 16 teams, will enter the knockout phase, where the eighth finals, quarter finals, semi-finals and finals will be held, and finally the champion will be determined.
What are the criteria for qualifying in this European Cup? According to the regulations of UEFA, if there are teams in the group with the same points, the teams that qualify will be determined in the following order:
